Amanda is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with various neurodevelopmental, mental health, and behavioural disorders. She received her MSc in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary and has training in psychoeducational assessment. She is experienced in the assessment of children and adolescents in areas such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and giftedness. Amanda believes in providing evidence-based assessment, treatment and support from a strengths-based and person-centered perspective.
She draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches and developmentally appropriate techniques to best support the client and their family’s individualized needs. Amanda provides strategies in the area of social skills, emotional regulation, managing anxiety, and building coping skills. Amanda specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and provides counselling for autistic children, adolescents, and young adults, with a focus on psychoeducation about ASD, social skills, anxiety, and emotional regulation.
