Sarah takes a strength-based approach when working with families, children, teens, and adults by identifying their areas of strength to promote resiliency and then addressing their areas of need through direct intervention and/or the development of an intervention plan. With a focus on empowerment, Sarah provides strategy-based counselling within a cognitive-behavioural, narrative, and solution-focused framework. She uses evidenced-based strategies in a creative and interactive way to make skills meaningful for all ages. Sarah’s specialized areas of interest include: emotional regulation, stress/worry, anxiety, self-esteem, mild depression, social skills, and self-regulation. Sarah enjoys working collaboratively with parents and schools to help support the generalization of skills and promote overall positive well-being.
