Coping with COVID – A Workbook for Parents and Kids (Aged 3-11)
People across the world are trying to cope with something never experienced before. We are living through huge changes, all at the same time, and in all areas of life. We are justifiably afraid, worried, stressed, and unsure. We might all be in this together, but we all have to cope as individuals. Our usual supports and escapes are gone. Parents are responsible not only for themselves, but also for their children. How can you cope with your own feelings and help your children cope? How can you comfort your children and also be realistic about what is happening? How can you help your children come through and be okay?
A group of child psychologists wants to help you. We want to help you be the best parent you can be and guide you in helping your children. Our 45 page workbook is packed with activities and advice. Some activities are for parents and some are for children. We explain how to use the activities with children – what to do, what to say, and what to ask. The child activities are suitable for children aged 3 to 11, and can be easily adjusted within this age group. The activities can help you talk with your children, help with their emotions, cope with your own emotions, and build your children’s security and resilience. We’ve taken our decades of experience as child psychologists and turned out a practical toolkit for parents and children. It’s a new world and we want to help your family walk in it.
