Nancy McLean

Registered Psychologist

South Location

N

ancy believes that everyone is worthy and whole as they are and that when we struggle it is due to past conditioning and faulty core beliefs. Nancy loves people and is endlessly curious about how biology and experience shape us into our present expression of self. Nancy holds gentle space for all aspects of her clients, warmly inviting in the parts of themselves that they believe they have to hide. Nancy believes that we adapt to our experience and circumstances and that we do the best we can moment to moment.

Nancy’s therapy approach is to compassionately welcome all parts of clients into the space so that they can be witnessed, understood, and cared for without judgement. She is masterful at honouring emotions and assisting clients in feeling loved and accepted. Nancy guides clients into a space to heal themselves from challenging life experiences and adaptive beliefs that no longer serve them. She walks alongside as they navigate life’s transitions, essentially holding space for self-healing.

Nancy was born and raised in a small farming community in Saskatchewan. She is a fourth-generation descendant of Scottish and Irish settlers. Nancy not only understands the rural lifestyle she also raised her blended family of three kids in an urban environment here in Calgary. Nancy finds solace in yoga and meditation and is a truth-seeker. She welcomes all expressions of spirituality and meaning making and believes that openness and curiosity are to be valued in the counselling space.
