View TeamAs a Registered Provisional Psychologist, Nav brings both lived experience and over a decade of work in social services into the therapy room. Her approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for the unique paths that shape each client’s story. She works collaboratively with clients—honouring that they are the experts of their own lives—while gently guiding them using evidence-based practices within a trauma-informed, culturally responsive framework.
Born and raised in Calgary, she comes from a South Asian background and understands first-hand the complexities of navigating multiple identities, generational expectations, and the unspoken grief that can accompany cultural transitions. Her parents immigrated from India in the early 80s, and growing up in a bicultural environment shaped her deep appreciation for resilience, compassion, and the power of community. These values have guided her path into mental health and continue to inform her work today.
Over the years, she has had the privilege of supporting children with Autism and ADHD and their families, working from a strength-based and play-focused lens. Her background includes leadership and direct support roles in developmental services, as well as counselling work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges—anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-worth, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, cultural identity struggles, and life transitions. She completed her counselling internship at Calgary Counselling Centre, where she supported clients from all walks of life and deepened her practice in an inclusive, high-demand environment.
Therapeutically, she draws from a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She tailors her approach to meet each client where they’re at—whether that means building emotional regulation skills, processing trauma, or navigating major life changes.
What sets her apart is her ability to integrate professional knowledge with deep, intuitive understanding—especially for those who may not feel seen in traditional therapeutic settings. She aims to create a space that feels safe, empowering, and real. Therapy with her is collaborative, practical, and infused with compassion.
She is fluent in both English and Punjabi, and she offers flexible therapy sessions in person and online, including evenings and Saturdays.
Outside the therapy room, she is a mom of two, a lifelong learner, and someone who finds joy in books, podcasts, nature, and the occasional suspenseful movie night. She believes healing is possible—and that you don’t have to walk through it alone.
