Maria is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who brings authentic presence, empathy, and a genuine appreciation of personal stories to the therapy room. Through her open attitudes towards differences and a broad outlook on life coupled with evidence-based interventions, Maria offers support and guidance in creating a greater sense of agency, hope, purpose, and calm during times of stress.

Maria Kachalova

Maria holds a Master of Counselling degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education degree from abroad. Adventurous at heart, she has lived, worked, and studied in several countries, including Russia and the United States, which resulted in an intricate mixture of her diverse experiences.

During the last ten years, Maria has worked as a mental health therapist and as a student advisor for various nonprofit and educational organizations in Calgary. As a community counsellor, Maria supported clients from many different backgrounds, including survivors of domestic violence and individuals who were mandated for therapy by court.

Whether it is anxiety, depression, doubt, or despair that hinders you from becoming your best self, Maria offers a safe place to unpack your worries and to find courage to move forward.
