Melissa is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with over ten years of experience working with vulnerable, marginalized, and diverse populations in community and government settings. Melissa is continually expanding her knowledge and is skilled at adapting counselling approaches to compliment the unique needs of individuals. She is currently working on her ASL certification. Coming from a military family, Melissa has a keen interest in working with veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and Provincial First Responders.

She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to develop a client-centred treatment plan, with the understanding that each individual has the ability to live their best life and reach their full potential.

Melissa provides counselling to children, adolescents, adults, and families to overcome challenges or situations that are impacting their lives. Her areas of practice and experience include anxiety, depression, stress/worry, ADHD, ASD, OCD, Tourettes, tics, trauma, emotional regulation, social skills, life skills, and transitioning to adulthood.
